Funding has been secured to save 292 Second Street from deterioration and turn it into a source of support for our community.
292 Second Street was originally built in 1874 and has been left vacant and rundown for decades. However, slated funding allows the city to develop a new structure at the 292 Second Street site to serve as a recovery house for 24 men who have chosen to live a life clean from drugs and alcohol.
Addiction doesn’t discriminate. Two-thirds of Americans have family members or friends who have struggled with addiction. This program will serve our friends, our family members and our neighbors who live right here in Albany County.
